Last night, Cy Prettyman showed off his muddy boots in the field.  We are all aware that this April went down as the wettest on record for Ohio.  The first few days of May have continued to be rainy and cool.  Farmers are looking for the soil to dry out and warm up before planting corn and soybeans. Right now, corn plantings are approximately 55% behind one year ago and 35% behind the ten year average according to USDA.  You might remember last year we had great weather for spring planting and many farmers had all their corn planted by May 1st.
